Stronger and more independent than its predecessor, the ASUS Padphone 2 smartphones comes with a 10-inch ultra-thin format tablet dock.
Taiwan’s Asus has announced in Milan, the new version of its Padfone 2, an Android smartphone comes with a touch pad 10.1-inch format.
Snapdragon chip with four cores and 2 GB of RAM
Construction of ASUS Padphone 2 is almost perfect (135 g for 9 mm thick). However, as compare to its predecessor the screen is increased from 4.3 to 4.7 inches with high definition 1280 by 720 points. Asus also announced for the Super IPS panel technology + (thus characterized by wide viewing angles) high brightness of 550 candelas / m². better, the camera gains in power it is based on quad-core processor Snapdragon S4 Pro Qualcomm (APQ8064 1.5 GHz), such as the upcoming LG Optimus G and Google Nexus 4 , coupled with 2GB of RAM.
The ASUS Padphone 2 currently works with version 4.0 of Android (Ice Cream Sandwich), but it will in Jelly Bean (4.1) in November, even before the date of marketing to many countries. Multimedia side, the ASUS Padphone 2 is equipped with two a 13 megapixel sensor and shoots 1080p HD at 30 images but especially in 720p HD at 60 frames per second (against only 30 for the One X or Galaxy S III). 1.2 megapixel webcam is present on the front. As for the video player, it supports up to 1080p HD movies. The smartphone will have a storage capacity of 32 or 64 GB and Asus will access the Cloud with an online space 50 GB of available extra.
Finally, smartphone, Wi-Fi n and Bluetooth 4.0, will now be compatible with mobile broadband networks 4G LTE and NFC for contactless payments.
A tablet confined to a definition of 1280 x 800 pixels
ASUS Padphone 2 tablet dock has an IPS panel that displays a definition of 1280 points 800. The connection system of the Padfone 2 tablet has, however, been significantly improved in terms of usability and data displayed on the 4.7-inch tilt quickly to the 10.1-inch screen. The set weighs 649 grams. Battery life of 16 hours on 3G calls and 13 hours Wi-Fi web browsing Autonomy would be multiplied by three when the device is connected to the tablet dock. However, the ability to clip a physical keyboard to the tablet, like the Transformers, has not been mentioned.
ASUS Padphone 2 will be launched before the end of the year in some European countries (including Germany and Italy) at a price of 899 euros in the 64 GB version and 799 euros in 32 GB No availability has so far been reported for other countries.
