The information comes from the hand of Trent Oster, creative director at Overhaul Games, a company engaged in the development of the new edition of the game, via Twitter, where he also asks Linux users if they would receive this title (a question that answers itself).

Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition is more than a remake, a remake of the classic Bioware, including Baldur’s Gate and its expansion Tales of the Sword Coast, Baldur’s Gate II. It will feature HD graphics and over 200 improvements over the original. In other words, what the gamers describe as ‘must have’.
