Many times I keep taking backup from my digital camera stick to my laptop. However, I’m scared to still delete the master images on the memory stick. As a result of that many duplicate images get copied on the computer under differnt folders typically named after the date on which the transfer was done.
Over a period of time, it takes unnecessary space and you will feel the need to delete the duplicate photos.
Here is the Process to Delete Duplicate Photos on the Computer:
You can delete duplicate photos using Google’s Picasa desktop software: Import all your picture folders into Picasa and then choose Tools –> Experimental –> Show Duplicate Files to see a list of suspected duplicate images.
The software will list all copies that are found of an image including the original one. You can keep one and delete the rest. Offcourse instead of deleting, you have the option of moving those duplicate images in another folder. See the video below for the process:
