LG BH5320F home theater system compact, affordable and effective: Review & Specs

In the category of discrete 2.1 home theater kits, complete and not expensive, LG BH5320F is one of the tips. It notably includes a Blu-Ray 3D and a 400 watt amp.

The promise

LG BH5320F

The LG BH5320F is an entry-level home cinema system of South Korean manufacturer. This is a small set with 2.1 having compactness, as a CPU, a Blu-ray 3D connected (Wi-Fi and DLNA) with integrated digital amplifier. Something to brighten up the TV sound, to roar some Blu-ray and take pleasure in listening to music, it is there for.
Reality

LG BH5320F is a small compact speaker system, but very good equipment / price ratio. But the speakers are tiny and the subwoofer is not very impressive either. So do not expect great art to the noise level. However, the CPU is fun with a side loading slot-in, touch-sensitive keys and its imitation aluminium finishes. Moreover, we find these same finishes for the frame speakers and passive subwoofer small.

A remarkable multimedia player

This LG BH5320F 2.1 system installs and connects very easily; especially as the cables speakers are included in the box. First good point, the unit offers an HDMI output, composite video output, analog audio input jack, two optical digital audio inputs, a USB 2.0 port and an Ethernet port. It bears the stamp and even offers DLNA connectivity Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct. Second good point, this freedom of movement allows easy access to Smart TV platform manufacturer and enjoys all the multimedia files on the network. LG BH5320F system has, in fact, read all files without complaining, it was proposed to DivX HD MKV, WMV, FLV, MP4, VC-1, 3GP, etc.. Same for music with the support FLAC (96 kHz/24 bit only), AAC, WMA, MP3, etc.., And photos (JPEG, GIF, PNG, etc.)..
A basic interface, but an honest Blu-ray

LG BH5320F
We found the same interface as the other brand products with menus and submenus basic, but clear. However, that LG makes the impasse video calibration tools. Here, you can tune the sound. The reader is more reactive (especially for DVD, Blu-ray is logically a bit slower) and operates in a relative discretion. Picture quality is also quite good and HD 1080/24p sources are rendered with precision and stability. The side of the HD upscaling DVDs, it does not reach the heights, but it improves a little the general definition image without torturing and without generating artifacts. The same goes for Blu-ray 3D also pass in stride and whose reproduction quality depends primarily on the care taken to capture or conversion to 3D source.
Rendering audio is clean and fleshy
In terms of sound, in this price and with this compact then, we do not expect a phenomenal quality. That said, we were not disappointed with acoustic performance of this LG BH5320F small system, installed in a living room or bedroom (25 m² maximum …), emits a relatively clean and fleshy, once the subwoofer is well adjusted. Several DSP modes are also there to add echo or low pass and raise certain styles of music. In short, it works pretty well! Including when you push the volume a bit. Of course, CD, DVD or Blu-ray sound is cleaner and more accurate, but with MP3 or music using apps ( vTuner, Aupeo!, etc.).
The verdict
Very nice for both the wallet to the overall size and multimedia use, this 2.1 LG BH5320F home theater system made us happy. This is not high fidelity, but for listening to music or working with a drink in the lounge, it’s perfect.

This was all about one of the affordable 2.1 home theater system LG BH5320F.
