Avira has announced the availability of its Mac Free Avira Security. As its name implies, it runs on Macs and it’s free.

It is no longer a legend; Macs are now increasingly threatened by viruses and other malware. Many publishers are interested lately in the Mac OS X: this is the case with BitDefender’s Virus Scanne, Intego’s Virus Barrier Express and or Avast Free Antivirus and Mac.

Avira has just entered the race. Free Mac software Avira Security is free for all Mac users – individuals as professionals – and its interface is completely free of advertising. It allows ad-hoc analysis and planned comprehensive or sectors. It also offers, such as competition, a real-time monitoring. Note Avira offers Console, software that can manage different Avira antivirus installed on the machine (PC or Mac) on your network. Mac Free Avira Security can be installed directly in Mac for Free and can be activated via a free download on Windows.
